The food is delicious. The price is very comparable. The choice of seafood, chicken or BBQ is convenient. The staff are nice, too.

Holts lake is still the best ever!They have family packs and they also have a bag that I usually buy for lunch. Its 8 wings for six dollars. You cant beat that! Those wings are delicious too.

Great place for BBQ. Although all menu items that I have tried are excellent. Wait staff are very friendly and courteous.

The service was good. The food & dining experience was the worst. Vary dirty & nasty. There where 6/7 waitresses sitting & talking. You couldn't even pick up the salt & pepper shaker without it sticking to your hands, the condiments where nasty as well. My arm stuck to the table. How 😝! When we took napkins out of the holder OMGOODNESS. We will never go back. The staff had their hair down & falling in their face. We had cheeseburger & trout. The trout was not edible. Vary fishy smell & soggy. The cheeseburger came out on a soggy roll & as greasy as ....blah! They served us banana pudding when we sat down that looked like someone had got sick in a dish. 😵If the wait staff is proud to work there & getting paid they should be CLEANING! It's discussing. Management should do something! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN & DEEP CLEAN! Can't even imagine what it looks like in the kitchen! Gordon Ramsay would have been 😷.

My family and I visit Holt Lake at least 3 times a week and we love it!! The food is always hot and delicious!! They have a wide selection of choices on the menu. Sometimes it's hard to decide on what u want because everything on the menu is good! Workers are super courteous too. If you're looking for good ol' finger lickin' good food at a good price, check out Holt Lake!!

Happy Happy Happy. Great job with the food...it was hot and well portioned. AC was working nice on this hot Carolina day and service was on point.The price per plate was a dollar or two more than we would pay at comparable BBQ spots...but we felt the quality, taste and portions far exceeded that increase.

Great food and fine folks!! It's not even that expensive. I highly recommend it. Only thing I'd like to see is the addition of baked beans to the 'sides' menu.

For the third time, service was horrible!! Will not be back. Went in and sat down, stayed over 5 minutes and none of the wait staff spoke to us. There were 2 waitresses that were prepping tables for closing and the next day. Both made eye contact but never approached to even get drink orders. Some of the other customers realized that we hadn't been waited on, but sadly I don't think the staff did. After 5 minutes, we walked out.

Omg the food is so good, absolutely a gem. Very tasty and quick service. Waitresses were so nice when they realized I was having a low blood sugar issue, for me stuff to try right away. Make sure order the Brunswick Stew!

We stopped in here to have lunch on a Saturday. It was a group of 7 of us in we did the family style. The food was good and the service was great. If you are in the area and looking for shrimp, Flounder, fried chicken, barbecue, and all of the trimmings then this will be a great place. The only negative thing I can say is that it seemed like the tables were really small. The staff is super friendly and they accommodated us as we celebrated a birthday. There is a drive thru window and large dining area. Plenty of parking. We didn't have to wait either. Good food with good people. Enjoy! I highly recommend.

Food was mediocre at best not as good as I remembered and apparently they must pay the waitresses very well because she did not look after us at all no refill on my wife's drink she waited on folks that came in after us..service was very poor...but I am glad they pay them well though because she won't miss the tip I did not leave her. We will not return. It's a shame that place used to be pretty good.

2 stars for food. 5 stars for service. Absolutely no seasoning on the seafood, could’ve been cooked a little longer. The breading was falling off of the catfish before it got the table. Overall, decent but we won’t be back.

Baby Flounder all you can eat...DELICIOUS meal, fried ocra and potatoe salad sides, hush puppies. Service was excellent as well. Will certainly stop in again.

No taste to hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, or turnip greens. All condiments on table. Requirement for reopening is nothing on the table. Salt and pepper should have been in paper packs.

Went for a fun work painting party. Food was pretty good. We also order there for work.

The all you can eat baby flounder was good. Not too greasy. Would definitely be back.

Sorry to say, found what looked like a root in my black eye peas less than a inch, and what looked like a nat on my hush puppy. I didn't show any one because I will be going back, food was hot, I had three veggies all of them were undamaged, which means they were freshly cooked,the baby fish were just the right size and hot. Sweet tea was excellent. I will have lunch when ever I visit Smithfield. The ladies were all smiling and greeting and a salutation.

My whole extended family has been eating at Holt Lake for many many years. It’s the best place for all you can eat family style. The food is outstanding! Every time we go back I think of all the wonderful memories of our family gatherings.

I'm from California my Uncle brought me here for lunch. The food and people were amazing .
